There’s something exciting about experiencing a new venue for the first time. You notice the spaces with fresh eyes, imagine how guests might move through the property, and begin to see the possibilities for an unforgettable celebration.
When Mirbeau Inn & Spa in Beacon celebrated its grand opening in May 2026, we had the opportunity to do exactly that.
At Christofora Events, we partnered with Mirbeau and Emerge Event Collective to create an intimate industry gathering where wedding professionals could relax, reset, and genuinely connect. It also gave us the chance to experience this new Beacon NY wedding venue through a planner’s eyes.
Our wedding planning services are designed to take the logistical weight off your shoulders while creating a celebration that feels thoughtful and effortless. If Mirbeau Inn & Spa in Beacon, NY is on your venue list, or you’re planning a luxury Hudson Valley wedding, we’d love to help.

Experiencing This New Beacon NY Wedding Venue
Rather than introducing Mirbeau through a traditional networking event, we wanted guests to actually experience the property.
Attendees arrived Monday morning at 9 a.m. to enjoy the spa amenities. A property tour began at 3 p.m., followed by hotel check-in at 4 p.m. Cocktails and mingling started at 5:30 p.m., with dinner and entertainment from 6:30 to 9 p.m.
The evening concluded with a cocktails, scents, and cake pairing experience from 9 to 10 p.m.
The pacing was intentional. Instead of filling every available hour, we gave guests time to enjoy the property, connect with one another, and slow down.
It’s an approach that translates beautifully to weddings. Your guests don’t always need more activities. They need time to enjoy the experiences you’ve chosen for them.
French Inspired Design at Mirbeau Inn & Spa
Mirbeau’s French inspired aesthetic gave us a beautiful starting point for the event design.
Rather than bringing in a concept that could’ve existed anywhere, we embraced the property’s identity and allowed its spaces to guide our creative direction.
The florals took inspiration from Monet paintings, bringing romantic color, texture, and movement into the room. Linens, rentals, stationery, draping, lighting, and entertainment were layered together to complement the setting.
It’s a philosophy we bring to weddings, too. A distinctive Beacon NY wedding venue gives you a strong visual foundation. From there, every detail should enhance what makes the property special while still feeling personal to you.
Luxury doesn’t always mean adding more. Sometimes, it’s knowing exactly what to add and when to let the setting speak for itself.
An Intimate Dinner Designed for Connection
Our dinner was created for approximately 50 attendees, keeping the evening intimate with intention.
We wanted vendors to have the opportunity to truly get to know one another, rather than simply exchange introductions in a crowded room. Most importantly, we wanted everyone to feel taken care of. The smaller guest count allowed us to focus on the atmosphere, pacing, and details of the evening.
That same idea can work beautifully for an intimate wedding. Instead of asking how to fill a room, you can focus on how you want the room to feel and how each guest experiences it.
Entertainment With a Sense of Place
The entertainment was chosen to complement Mirbeau’s relaxing, spa-inspired atmosphere.
Live music and dance performances brought energy to the dinner while still feeling connected to the environment. Afterward, guests moved into a cocktails, scents, and cake pairing experience. A perfume bar introduced an interactive sensory element while cocktails and cake gave the evening one final moment of discovery.
It’s the kind of detail we love incorporating into weddings.
You don’t need ten different guest activations to create an impressive celebration. A few thoughtful experiences, beautifully executed and introduced at the right moments, can feel much more luxurious.
Take a look inside the celebration. This highlight reel captures the full Mirbeau Inn & Spa Event experience, from relaxing at the spa and connecting over cocktails to the intimate dinner, live entertainment, and thoughtful details that brought the evening to life.

Why Mirbeau Works for a Wedding Weekend
One of the most compelling aspects of Mirbeau Beacon is that the guest experience can begin long before the ceremony.
Our gathering started with a morning at the spa, giving attendees hours to settle in and experience the property before cocktails began.
For a wedding weekend, guests could arrive with time to check in, enjoy the spa, explore Beacon, or simply relax before getting ready.
That’s especially valuable when considering a Beacon NY wedding venue. A property with meaningful amenities helps create an immersive experience without requiring you to schedule every moment for your guests.
Planning Your Mirbeau Beacon Wedding
Our gathering at Mirbeau Inn & Spa was designed around restoration, connection, and thoughtful hospitality. From the spa experience and Monet inspired florals to the intimate dinner and scent, cocktail, and cake pairing, each decision supported how we wanted guests to feel.
Your wedding should be approached with that same intention.
