A Morning Filled with Anticipation
The morning of Chelsea and Ryan’s wedding was full of excitement and sweet emotion. Chelsea got ready surrounded by her bridesmaids, each moment buzzing with laughter and happy tears. Her gown, a breathtaking high-neck lace dress, was both modern and deeply meaningful, connecting her to her Israeli heritage. It was love at first sight the moment she tried it on, and it couldn’t have been more perfect for her.
One of our favorite parts of the morning was Chelsea’s first look with her father. A quiet, emotional moment before the celebrations began. Then came her first look with Ryan, a tender exchange that captured their joy and anticipation perfectly.
A Summer Palette of Color and Texture
For this Hudson River wedding, we wanted the color story to feel joyful and alive while still elegant and cohesive. Chelsea envisioned a palette inspired by the richness of late summer. Vibrant blooms in shades of peach, lavender, periwinkle, and golden yellow.
The bridesmaids wore gowns in a mix of soft lilac and blue tones that shimmered beautifully in the sunlight. The groomsmen looked effortlessly classic in tuxedos. Ryan stood out in a white dinner jacket, a crisp and timeless contrast that popped against the lush greenery of the riverside setting.
Every floral detail, brought this vision to life. The arrangements were lush, textural, and full of personality. Each one thoughtfully chosen to complement the couple’s aesthetic and the natural beauty of the Hudson.
A Ceremony Overlooking the Hudson River
With the Hudson shimmering behind them, the ceremony took place beneath a magnificent floral chuppah, lush with greenery, garden roses, and dahlias in romantic summer hues. Honoring tradition, they incorporated Jewish wedding customs, including the breaking of the glass, met with joyful cheers from family and friends. Chelsea wore her mother’s wedding band, a touching generational detail that made the moment even more meaningful.
Afterward, guests joined a lively New Orleans style second line to cocktail hour, a nod to Chelsea’s college years and one of the most joyful transitions we’ve ever witnessed along the Hudson.
An Elevated Riverside Reception
As the sun set, the reception at Hutton Brickyards came alive. We designed an atmosphere that felt both refined and relaxed, perfect for a summer night by the water.
Long wooden tables were dressed with colorful garden florals, soft candlelight, and blue patterned napkins that added a fresh pop of texture. The look was modern yet timeless, and the entire space glowed as evening fell.
Dinner featured open-fire cooking, bringing a lively, interactive energy to the evening. With Chelsea’s father in the restaurant industry, food was especially meaningful. Each course celebrated fresh, seasonal ingredients and the warmth of family style dining.
The three tier cake was a work of art, with layers of coconut, chocolate raspberry truffle, and carrot cake, created by Chelsea’s hometown bakery, the same one that made her Bat Mitzvah cake, tying her story together in the sweetest way.
Dancing the Night Away
When it came time for the party, this crowd was ready to celebrate! The couple shared their first dance surrounded by candlelight and smiles before the dance floor filled with energy.
One of the most memorable parts of the night was the Hora, when Chelsea and Ryan were lifted into chairs amid laughter, clapping, and music, a joyful continuation of their Hudson River wedding traditions. Guests danced under the stars, cocktails in hand, the sound of music and laughter carrying across the river.
It was one of those nights where no one wanted the celebration to end, a perfect reflection of the love and energy these two share.
A Seamless Hudson River Wedding
Our goal for every wedding is to make the day feel effortless for our couples, and Chelsea and Ryan’s celebration was no exception.
“Even if things didn’t go according to plan, I never knew,” Chelsea shared. “Angela and her team handled everything, allowing me to be present and have the best day ever.”
Hearing that means everything to us. Behind the scenes, we coordinated countless moving parts, florals, timing, transitions, and guest experience, so Chelsea and Ryan could fully live in the moment. Watching their day unfold so beautifully along the Hudson River was truly rewarding.
We loved bringing their vision to life at Hutton Brickyards, the summer river views, vibrant florals, and heartfelt traditions made this Hudson River wedding one we’ll never forget.
