I’m Angela, and I’ve spent my whole life training to be a wedding planner — even if I didn’t realize it at first!
Before I was a wedding and event planner, I was a paralegal working in a small Hudson Valley law firm for eighteen years. I loved the analytical side of my work, but I sought a more creative outlet beyond contracts and legalese. (Little did I know, this skill would come in handy when it comes to vendor contracts for my clients!)
I went back to school, completed my Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management, and got certified in wedding design. Then, fate stepped in where I least expected it. When working at a Tibetan retreat center, a couple asked me to help them plan their wedding on the property. After orchestrating the whole affair, a lightbulb went off. This put me on the path toward pursuing what I was truly born to do.
I’ve seen firsthand that celebrations in scenic, nontraditional venues give couples freedom. Untethered by the restrictions of city ballrooms and country club grounds, couples can dream up weddings that are unique and utterly heartfelt. I’m the planner to help them bring those visions to life.
As a wedding and event planner, I’ve made a science and art out of giving my clients the weddings they dream of. I care about protecting your investment and your vision, and I ensure that you feel supported at every step of the process.

The Inspiration Behind Christofora Events
Christofora Events is lovingly named after my relatives, who emigrated from the L’Aquila province of Italy near Pescara in the late 1800s. They hailed from farmers and winemakers and founded businesses in New York City — a coffee shop and a grocery store — before moving upstate to Kingston, NY.
When the Christoforas moved to America, they changed their name by one letter (A to O) to differentiate members of the family with the same name. It meant that members of our family now have slightly different names on our birth certificates! (You may have noticed my last name is spelled with an O!)
They made their mark in New York history: My grandfather Julius (one of eleven children!) worked as a laborer on the tug boats that came into Hutton Brickyard, which transported the bricks used to build Yankee Stadium and the Empire State Building.
With my grandparents as our namesake, I’m proud to celebrate my Italian and New York roots. Not only is our business headquartered in Kingston, New York, but we also have planned many weddings over the years at the venue which was once the brickyard — can you say meant to be?!

Sara has a passion for creating unforgettable moments. Originally from Somers, CT, a small town nestled near the Massachusetts border, she holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from RPI. After five years as a Product Manager at IBM, Sara discovered her true passion for weddings while working as a bridal stylist and planning her own destination wedding in Paris.
With a strong eye for detail, creative styling, and expert project management skills, Sara specializes in crafting personalized and seamless events. She is dedicated to celebrating love and creating meaningful experiences that capture each couple’s unique story.
